Using and Integrating HelpAssistant

HelpAssistant provides an artificial intelligence (AI) chat bot, called an Assistant, that can answer your questions.  SpokeChoice has 2 assistants that is able to answer questions about setting up, using and troubleshooting the software.

To open HelpAssistant, click on the icon in the lower-right corner.

All users with an administrator role have access to the SpokeChoice Admin assistant. Users with the Provider role can have access to the SpokeChoice Provider assistant if you have subscribed to the Extended HelpAssistant feature.

To best utilize HelpAssistant, questions should be phrased as if you are asking the question to a person. The assistant will then attempt to answer the question based on the knowledge it has been trained with. If it is unable to answer the question, it will normally indicate that. However, on occasion you may receive an incorrect answer or more likely an answer that does not apply to your question. This occurs either when the context of your question is unclear or the exact answer to the question is not in the knowledge base but a similar context is.

Be sure to provide feedback on questions that are not answered correctly. To do this, click on the survey prompt below the assistant's response:

Creating Your Own Assistants

Using the website at www.HelpAssistant.com, you may create your own AI Assistant(s) and train it with information from your website and/or documents you have.

You may choose to only host the Assistant(s) on your own website. However, you can include your Assistant(s) in SpokeChoice by following the steps below:

Using the www.HelpAssistant.com website:

  1. You'll need to work with that company to register & purchase the required subscription to complete this task. SpokeChoice is unable to help you with this process.
  2. Go to the Account page and click on the Account Settings tab to get your ANON key. This is a security key that will allow SpokeChoice to access your HelpAssistant assistant. Make note of or copy the ANON key.
  3. Create your Assistant(s). For each assistant you must edit the Assistant Settings and enter the Limit assistant to the following domain names section to https://www.spokechoice.com or it will not show up in SpokeChoice.

Using the www.SpokeChoice.com website:

  1. Go to Back Office>Company Options and enter your ANON key in the Help Assistant Anon Key field.
  2. Still in Company Options, enter the names of all Assistants you wish to be included in the SpokeChoice HelpAssistant popup window. Note: The assistant names must be entered exactly as you named them in www.HelpAssistant.com.
  3. Click the Save button to save your options.
  4. Refresh SpokeChoice and test HelpAssistant. You should see the names of the SpokeChoice assistant as well as your assistants:
