Adding a Waiver

Waivers are used to bypass a client's payer in the billing process

To Enter a waiver for a client in Spokechoice, go to the Home Care application.

Once inside the Home Care Application, navigate to Health Plans, and then select the Service Waivers Tab at the top of the page.

Select the client name from the drop down in the top right corner, and then follow these steps to add the waiver:

  1. Toggle the display to view waivers that are no longer active. Waivers are considered inactive once the End Date is in the past.
  2. Select the policy you wish to bypass (waive) in the billing process.
  3. Select the service code this waiver applies to.
  4. Enter the start date for the waiver.
  5. Enter the end date for the waiver.
  6. Select Add

Note: To edit a waiver, select the waiver row to edit. The settings will be set in the Options box. Modify the settings then click the Update button.
