If you were previously a DDReports user you might have had an account for both a guardian and a provider. Because SpokeChoice allows one login for multiple roles and companies it is convenient to have one login for all access. Because SpokeChoice requires only one record for a person it would be necessary to merge these two records into one. To accomplish this follow these instructions

Because the two records in SpokeChoice might have the same name on the record we will first change the guardians name to something we can recognize at the guardian verses the provider record.

Navigate to People Manager. Select the Guardian Type. Find the guardian you wish to merge

Add to the guardians last name something that you can determine that this is the guardian record. We might suggest a 'G' after the name

Now lets proceed to merge the guardian to the provider record.

Navigate to Backoffice-Homecare->Remove Guardian.

On the left drop down select the guardian you wish to delete. You should see the guardian record that you added the extra character in the previous step. Choose that record.

Next on the right side choose the provider record for this guardian.

If the email of the provider record is the one that will be the final login email go ahead and check the Request provider reset password check box. If it will be a different email address or the same as the deleted guardian record uncheck it.

Hit the Delete Guardian button now to move all associated items from the deleted guardian to the new provider-guardian record. You will be warned about the event about to transpire. Make sure you agree with that.

What just happened? The original Guardian Record and any login information has been removed from the system. Any associated members that were on that record have been transferred to the provider-guardian record. The guardian role has been added to the provider-guardian record.

You can now go to the People-Manager and enter a new email address and invite this provider-guardian to setup their account.
