Setting-Up Sick time

SpokeChoice will allow your providers to use AutoVisit to take their sick time. Sick time is available and accrued based on Arizona Hourly law and is done so only for W2 employees.

Note: If you do not wish your employees to accrue sick time by law they must be a 1099. Please set them as such under people manager.

Sick time is setup with two components

  1. Cost Center
  2. Sick Time service code.

Note: If you have used sick time prior in DDReports you MUST follow these steps. Having sick time as a fake client will NOT work nor will calculations work properly when taking it. You must delete the employee/client sick time relationship and follow these instructions. You can use the same service code but remove the output claim and requires authorization.

You will add a cost center and name it something that you will recognize as the cost item. In addition you will add a service code and check the "sick time" checkbox indicating this is a sick time code. Note: You can only have one sick time code. Adding any other codes with the sick time check box marked will cause problems in output and assigning pay rates.

After you have created the cost center remember to add all employees that are eligible for sick time to this new sick time service code.

Add a sick time service code by clicking on this link. IMPORTANT! You must indicate client and provider overlap on the sick time code or when adding sick time to for a provider you'll receive a message that there is overlap.

Last you must add a pay rate for the sick time service code. To learn more about pay rates click this link. SpokeChoice will use this rate during sick time or if you are using the iSolved interface to one of our payroll partners the rate will be averaged automatically based on past hourly rates and amount of hours for the last pay period.

Sick time is taken within the AutoVisit application using the "Request Sick Time" button.

Should the employee not be able to take sick time one of the above steps were not followed or there is not accrued sick time available for the employee.
