Determining a clients authorization Balance

Sometimes you might run out of authorizations or be curious when the visits were used against an Authorization.

You can see all the claims for a client for the authorization period using the freeform search feature.

Determining authorization date range.

You must first determine the authorization start and end date. To do so go to homecare-health plans-client  authorizations. Note the from and to date for the authorization in question.

Freeform search the claims

Navigate to Homecare-billing.

Select the View "Freeform Search"

Select the payer for which you want to see all claims.

Select the from and to date and then hit search.

Now you'll need to filter the results.

In the grid header select the filter icon and select the client you are querying.

Select the Billing code in question

Now you'll see only those claims for the period, client and Billing code in question. You can export those rows to excel and add up the totals to see why the balance is reporting as it does.
