Sometimes you might have a client that requires 2 providers to provide services at one time.

DDD does not allow billing both of those providers at the same time and will "typically" give out a higher rate so you can bill the hours and afford to pay two direct care workers.

For example: They might pay 23.00 per hour for respite but then bump up the special rate to 46.00 per hour. If both providers worked 8 hours each you would only bill one at 8 hours. If you attempted to bill both of them it would be double amount the hours at the higher rate. If both happened to work more than 12 hours each it would also result in more than 24 hours (or 96 units) for the day and deny for too many units billed.

To accomplish this goal you must

1) Only allow one provider to clock in and out and bill their hours

2) The other provider needs to account for payroll and must be added to a cost center and the event must be a service code that is "payroll only". Note: The provider can not clock in/out with this method and must keep track of hours manually, pass them to administration so they can be entered manually using the cost center and payroll only service code.

• Next create a service code with payroll only (name it something specific that is used for the payroll of employee with 2 clients). Click here to learn how to do this. ie: RSP-Payroll
• Next create a cost center if you do not already have one. Click here to create a cost center. ie: Admin
• Next assign the payroll only employee to this cost center you just created. Click here to assign provider
• Next add both of the rates to each employee. The special billing rate for the employee (RSP-Jimmy) that will clock in using AutoVisit and the special rate (RSP-Payroll) for the employee that will manually record time and admin will enter time. Click here to learn how to add rates.
