Updating or adding new State Rates

If you need to update the paid rate on a service code this will help you navigate that process

Locate the service code you would like to change- select the pencil edit icon

Under ‘Payer Typer Billing Code’ choose the pencil edit icon

Under ‘Service Rates’ choose the pencil edit icon

Always Add a new rate if the rate changes. If you do not do it this way any outstanding claims will use the new rate or will run the risk of not being sent out correctly if the new start date is in the future.

Example: If you have a Rate for RSP as 8.02 that started on 1/1/22 you will add a new rate starting 1/1/23 as an "additional" rate. This way all existing claims between 1/1/22 and 12/31/22 will be billed at the 8.02 rate and new claims starting 1/1/24 will be at the new rate. In addition this allows for a history of rates in the system.
